A member of the All Progressives Congress in Degema Local Government Area, Dr Ipalibo Sogules, has welcomed Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s decision to seek re-election.
He said the governor has done enough in the face of political challenges to deserve a second term, adding that his continuation in office would promote stability and growth in Rivers State.
Sogules also urged voters to elect lawmakers who would serve the public interest rather than individual political figures, calling for an end to godfatherism in the state’s politics.
He further commended President Bola Tinubu for allowing governors to lead their party structures at the state level.
