Eighteen suspects linked to the 2021 assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise have been transported to Florida in the United States to stand trial.
Moise, aged 53, was shot dead on July 7, 2021, at his private residence in Haiti.
He was killed by a group of about 20 Colombian military-trained mercenaries who had been hired for the operation.
Reports said Moise’s security detail did not intervene to protect him during the attack.
The suspects are expected to face legal proceedings in Florida over their alleged roles in the assassination.
