For the first time in four months, the Rivers State Police Command has briefed the public on its achievements.
At a press conference in Port Harcourt on Thursday, the Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, said the command arrested 12 suspected vandals and recovered three items suspected to be explosives. He explained that the suspects were apprehended at an oil spill site in Kpea community on August 10, 2025.
The police also recovered 115 stolen vehicles and arrested suspected killers of a Port Harcourt-based lawyer as well as notorious gang leaders.
The briefing, attended by service commanders of sister security agencies including the DSS, was the first update by the command since April.
