Rivers Health Ministry Intensifies Crackdown on Quack Doctors

The Rivers State Ministry of Health has intensified its campaign against quack medical practice in the state.

Chairman of the Ministry’s Anti-Quackery Committee and Permanent Secretary, Dr. Vincent Wachukwu, said the team is targeting hospitals and medical personnel operating without valid licenses.

Speaking at a press briefing in Port Harcourt, Dr. Wachukwu disclosed that several health facilities have already been shut down.

He stressed that the committee will not relent but continue routine checks across the state. Dr. Wachukwu also urged residents to report suspicious medical activities in their communities, assuring that all reports will be taken seriously and treated confidentially.
