The member representing Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Kelechi Nwogu, has attributed his political rise to God and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Nwogu said God used the FCT Minister to provide him with the political platform to advance his career, pledging his unalloyed loyalty to Wike, whom he described as the leader of the Rainbow Coalition.
The lawmaker made the remarks while performing the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a church in his hometown in Omuma.
Nwogu said the project was part of his appreciation for his political growth and promised to continue investing in the advancement of Christendom.
Responding to the gesture, the Rector of Umuogba Deanery, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Etche, Reverend Canon John Onuekwusi, described the initiative as heartwarming.
He commended the lawmaker for the project and expressed the gratitude of the entire church.
The church project is expected to be completed within six months.
