Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has expressed confidence that Arsenal will recover strongly from their UEFA Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Arsenal suffered heartbreak in the final after losing on penalties, despite taking an early lead through Kai Havertz before PSG equalised in the second half and eventually secured victory in the shootout.
Reacting to the result, Ferdinand said the Gunners must take the disappointment in their stride and focus on the bigger picture of their progress this season.
He noted that although the loss will be painful for the squad, their Premier League success and overall development show they are on the right path.
Ferdinand added that Arsenal are building a team capable of competing for major honours consistently in the coming years and encouraged the players to use the defeat as motivation for future success.
