EFCC Recovers Over ₦115 Billion in NDDC Levies From Oil Companies

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, says it has recovered more than ₦115 billion in statutory levies owed to the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, by defaulting oil companies between 2021 and 2023.

The recovery comprises ₦76.883 billion and 81.076 million dollars.

An EFCC representative, Francis Oka Phillips Usani, disclosed the figures while appearing before the Senate Committee on Public Accounts.

The recovery is part of efforts to enforce compliance with statutory obligations owed to the NDDC and strengthen funding for development programmes in the Niger Delta region.
