The Director General of the NCDC Doctor, Chikwe Ihekweazu made the disclosure during a briefing by the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 in Abuja.
Ihekweazu while acknowledging that the task is ambitious said Nigeria was lagging behind in terms of testing for the virus hence the need to set the target.
He noted that the target will be achieved through collaboration with state governments and other relevant agencies.
