Some parties including the main opposition All Progressives Congress and Social Democratic Party among others had criticized the panned wards exco inauguration by the PDP.
The former chairman of the party, Felix Obuah however announced the suspension of the swearing-in in 15 wards in PHALGA, Obio-Akpor and Degema due to lockdown by Governor Nyesom Wike.
Our correspondent who monitored the process which took place simultaneously in the remaining across the twenty-three local government Areas reports that security operatives were also present to enforce the social distancing directive of the government.
Speaking during the event in Ahoada, the Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Council, Ben Eke charged the new executives to be dedicated and loyal in order to foster coherence and unity needed for the PDP to continue to win future elections in Ahoada East.
On their parts, some of the newly inaugurated executives in Ahoada East pledged their loyalty and promised to work for the victory of PDP in all future elections.
