An indigene of Bonny Local Government Area, Israel Pepple, has raised concerns over alleged criminal activities involving some commercial motorcyclists around Amamu Junction and Sandfield Road. He called on local authorities and security agencies to take urgent action to address the growing security threat. Pepple also alleged that some of the motorcyclists operate with the support of security personnel and urged traditional institutions in Bonny Kingdom to intervene.
A security consultant, Richard Abbey, also warned that the situation requires stronger scrutiny and monitoring, noting increased movement into the area without proper checks.
