A Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has fixed May 26, 2026, for the hearing of a plea in a suit against Wisdom Gate School following the death of a two-year-old pupil, Wynne Akekue. The case involves the school owner and four members of the management accused in connection with the incident. At Tuesday’s sitting, the defence counsel said the defendants had not been served court processes by the prosecution, prompting an adjournment.
Justice Monima Danagogo ordered that the prosecution ensure proper service before the next date and ruled that the administrative bail granted by the police remains valid. The court also directed the surety to remain present until the issue of plea is resolved.
