Imo State Governor and Chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodimma, has disclosed that the five governors of the South-East have resolved to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Uzodimma said the decision followed a review of the Tinubu administration’s performance in the region, particularly its infrastructure and economic development initiatives.
Speaking during a meeting with the Imo State Elders Council and traditional rulers in Owerri, the governor said the South-East governors unanimously agreed to continue identifying with the President and his Renewed Hope Agenda, citing what he described as the tangible benefits already delivered to the region.
He noted that the South-East could no longer be influenced by political rhetoric, insisting that visible federal projects and interventions across the zone had demonstrated the administration’s commitment to regional development.
Uzodimma expressed confidence that continued collaboration with the Federal Government would accelerate economic growth, improve infrastructure, and deliver greater opportunities for the people of the South-East.
