Rivers Deputy Governor Odu Hails Church Construction as Divine Honour

The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Prof. Ngozi Odu, has described the construction of a place of worship as a rare privilege and honour from God, likening it to the biblical roles of King David and King Solomon.

She made the remarks during the dedication of the Assemblies of God Church auditorium in Akabuka, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, on Sunday.

Prof. Odu commended Dr. Andrew Igwe for funding and completing the church project, highlighting his wider contributions to community development, including scholarships and support for numerous beneficiaries.

In his sermon titled “God Will Honour Those Who Honour Him,” the National Treasurer of the Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Gabriel Michael, emphasised that God honours those who respect Him. He praised Dr. Igwe for dedicating his resources to the worship of God.
