Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has called on President Bola Tinubu to either resign from office or abandon any plans to seek re-election, citing what he described as the administration’s failure to tackle Nigeria’s worsening insecurity.
Obi accused the Federal Government of lacking compassion for victims of insecurity and failing to fulfil key campaign promises on security, economic growth and public welfare. He said the country’s current challenges demand accountable leadership.
He maintained that recent developments further reinforce his position that the administration has not met the expectations of Nigerians and should take responsibility for its performance.
