Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has denied allegations of match-fixing levelled against him by his Tanzanian club, Singida Black Stars. The 26-year-old was suspended for three months over claims that he manipulated results in a CAF Confederation Cup game and a league match. Obasogie insisted the goals conceded were due to normal on-field errors and said he remains committed to clearing his name while continuing his professional career.
The player maintained that he respects club regulations but is confident that the investigation will eventually establish his innocence. He also expressed appreciation to supporters who have continued to stand by him during the period of uncertainty.
