This follows the emergence of Pastor Festus Legbara as a factional President and Letam Nkpoka as another factional President of MOSOP, after elections that took place on different days.
One of the factional Presidents, Nkpoka who addressed newsmen after his emergence on the election that was conducted on the 16th of October, 2023 at Bori, the Headquarters of Ogoni, promised to restore peace in Ogoniland.
Nkpoka also assured that his administration would be a participatory leadership and will work in synergy with the executive members, adding that his administration will not betray the trust bestowed on them.
Nkpoka further revealed that the MOSOP under his watch will ensure the proper supervision of the Ogoni clean-up exercise by the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project.
He described the administration of Pastor Festus Legbara who he addressed as his predecessor as a total waste.
Today FM reports that those elected alongside Letam Nkpoka are, Godspower Lale as Deputy President, Philip Tewah as Treasurer and Alex Neeka as Public Relations Officer.
