The Coordinator of the Niger Delta Host Communities, Doctor Kikpoye Gogo in a statement alleged that the ongoing plan was being sponsored by politicians and well placed individuals in Ekpeye land and other enemies of the area.
Gogo said their investigations revealed that the motive behind the sinister move, bankrolled against the general interests of the eight host communities and the company was to hijack the three percent host communities fund as enshrined in the Petroleum Industry Act.
The statement said some politicians and well placed individuals in the area,who were desperately trying the cover the NDPR and hijack resources meant for host communities to fund their personal interest, were bankrolling the campaign to make baseless and unfounded claims against the company.
Gogo, however called on the Inspector General of Police, Director of State Service, National Security Adviser, and other security agencies to place the group of persons who are not members of the host communities on security watch list as their plan may wreck havoc, insecurity and economic sabotage.
