President of Galatasaray, Dursun Özbek, has expressed confidence that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will perform even better than he did last season.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 matches, helping the club win both the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.
Speaking about the possibility of making Osimhen’s stay permanent, Özbek said negotiations are ongoing and the club is hopeful of securing a deal. He also praised the striker’s commitment and impact during his loan spell.
Although Osimhen has received interest from other clubs, including a reported €75 million offer from Saudi side Al-Hilal, he is believed to prefer continuing his career in Europe.
Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk also expressed belief in Osimhen’s potential to improve, saying the coaching team is working on refining his movement to help him score even more goals.
