Former President, OLUSEGUN OBASANJO, has urged the Nigerian military to intensify mop up operations in liberated villages in the north-east.

Chief OBASANJO made the call as efforts intensify to prepare the ground for the return of displaced persons.OBASANJO who was speaking during a two-day familiarization visit to Borno State, said although the war against insurgency was far from over, the Nigerian Military was winning the battle.
On his part, Borno State Governor, KASHIM SHETTIMA agreed with the former President on the improved security situation in the state and the need to support victims of insurgency.
