At least seven dead bodies have been found inside a pit at Obibi community in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.

A close source close to the community told our correspondent that the unidentified bodies were discovered following fresh violence in the area.
Investigations by our correspondent indicate that the victims may have been killed in a shootout in Obibi in the community last week.
The killings are thought to be related cult violence, which is also believed to be driven by the bitter political rivalry in Rivers State.
However; it appears the Rivers State Police Command is not aware of latest development, as the Police Public Relations Officer, AHMAD MUHAMMAD, said it had not been brought to his attention.
