The Accountant-General of the Federation, Alhaji IDRIS AHMED has already issue a circular to the effect that the tenure of the capital elements of the 2016 Budget would last until 5th May.
The move is based on the directive of the Minister of Finance, KEMI ADEOSUN, who announced that the extension would be aborted if the 2017 Budget is passed earlier than 5th May.
A statement released by the Director of Information in the Finance Ministry, SALISU NA’INNA DAMBATTA, noted that Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies have been advised to comply with the content of the circular.
