The storm hit the state’s most populous region, after pummeling the north-east coast for two days, leaving massive flooding on its trail.
Reports say although the storm is no longer a cyclone, it has lashed Queensland’s capital Brisbane with heavy rain in two hours, which is more than its monthly average.
