The Federal Government has empowered 18 rescued Chibok girls with cash grants and vocational starter packs to promote self-reliance and economic independence.
The support was presented during the graduation ceremony of the girls’ support programme in Yola, Adamawa State.
The empowerment initiative is aimed at equipping the beneficiaries with practical skills and resources needed to establish sustainable livelihoods and successfully reintegrate into society after their ordeal.
The Federal Government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting rescued victims of insurgency through education, vocational training and economic empowerment, describing the programme as part of ongoing efforts to restore hope and improve their future prospects.
