Court Orders Forfeiture of Five Properties Linked to Ex-Power Minister Saleh Mamman

A Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, has ordered the permanent forfeiture of five properties belonging to former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, to the Federal Government.

The order was issued on July 2, 2026, following Mamman’s conviction and 75-year prison sentence for corruption-related offences involving the diversion of public funds during his time in office.

The court held that the properties were proceeds of unlawful activities and should be forfeited to the Federal Government as part of efforts to recover assets linked to corruption. The ruling reinforces ongoing anti-corruption measures aimed at ensuring public officials do not benefit from illicitly acquired wealth.
