Boko haram members nabbed in Kano State.

Governor ABDULLAHI UMAR GANDUJE also confirmed that the suspects had been moved by security operatives to Abuja for interrogation.

 

 

Governor GANDUJE said the security agents also confiscated arms and communication gadgets from the suspected terrorists.

 

 

The Governor said the suspects had divulged very useful information, based on which he appealed to the people to be more security conscious.

 

He said the suspects were arrested with the help of a special network of community intelligence gathering.

 

 

Governor GANDUJE made the revelation when he played host to the Emir of Kano, MUHAMMAD SANUSI II, during the traditional Hawan Nassarawa homage at the Government House in Kano.

 

 

The revelation was contained in a statement released by the Government House Director of Media and Communications, SALIHU TANKO YAKASAI.

 

 

The statement also quoted the Emir of Kano urging the State Government to do more on economic development to alleviate the hardship being faced by the people.

 

 

Emir MUHAMMAD SANUSI II also urged political leaders to caution their supporters against causing public disturbances.

 

Meanwhile; the Kano State Governor over the weekend ordered the release of five hundred prison inmates from the Kano Central Prison in a goodwill gesture for the celebration of Eid-El-Kabir.
