HENRY OGIRI who was a close associate of former president GOODLUCK JONATHAN and is also believed to be a major financier of the PDP campaign for the 2015 general election, made his formal declaration for APC in Rivers State during an outing with former governor and current Minister of Transport, ROTIMI AMAECHI.
The Abua-Odual political big wig arrived in Port Harcourt earlier today with the Transport Minister for various assignments, which took them to Ogoni land as well as Ikwerre Local Government Area.
When the Minister’s entourage stopped at the family home of late literary icon, Captain ELECHI AMADI at Aluu community on a condolence visit; the former NDDC Executive Director, HENRY OGIRI granted an interview to our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR, confirming his defection to APC.
HENRY OGIRI said he decided to join APC in order to bring the government closer to his people; adding that he would work for the interest of APC to bring development in Rivers State and beyon
After the declaration, the immediate-past Executive Director of Finance and Administation of NDDC, HENRY OGIRI returned to Abuja with the Minister of Transport, ROTIMI AMAECHI.
