Our correspondents who are monitoring development around town report that the state capital is bustling with activities, after what the lull of the last three days.
There is large turnout of workers at private companies, just as commercial banks are entertaining massive crowds of customers.
Automated Teller Machine points are also working nonstop to dispense cash to the banking public who may have ran out of cash and supplies during the long holiday.
At Rivers State Judicial Complex and State Government Secretariat in Port Harcourt, workers were all looking excited to be back to their duty posts.
Some of the workers who spoke with correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR said they enjoyed the holiday and were happy to resume work.
The respondents however said government should have extended the holiday for the entire week so that they would resume on Monday.
They complained that the long holiday had weakened their strength because they never anticipated it.
