Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has approved the release of ₦1.3 billion for the payment of bursaries to eligible students across the state.
The governor also approved an increase in the bursary award from ₦20,000 to ₦50,000 per beneficiary as part of efforts to support students and ease the financial burden of tertiary education.
The state government said the initiative underscores its commitment to expanding access to quality education and promoting the welfare of students in Akwa Ibom State.
