The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State has announced David Amapakaye Okumgba as its deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Chizi Enyi.
According to the statement, Okumgba is an experienced administrator and politician who previously served as South-South Zonal Secretary and Zonal Publicity Secretary of a major political party.
The party said his selection to run alongside governorship candidate Gabriel Pidomson reflects its commitment to competence, accountability, and economic development. It called on members and supporters to rally behind the ticket ahead of the election.
