The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the third phase of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise in Rivers State by two weeks.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Johnson Alalibo Sinikiem, said the exercise, initially scheduled to end on July 10, will now close on July 26, 2026.
He explained that registration centres across the state would now operate seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including weekends.
INEC also announced that fresh applicants can complete their registration entirely online, while those seeking voter transfers, replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards, or biometric updates can use the commission’s dedicated registration portal.
