EFCC Declares Former Minister Sadiya Umar Farouq Wanted Over Alleged Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq, wanted over allegations of criminal conspiracy, abuse of office, and diversion of public funds.

The anti-graft agency Economic and Financial Crimes Commission announced the development in a notice published on its official website on Saturday.

According to the commission, Sadiya Farouq, an indigene of Zamfara State, is believed to have last been seen at EN 008, Okpo River, off Agulu Street in the Maitama area of Abuja.

The notice, signed by the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, called on members of the public with useful information on her whereabouts to report to the commission or relevant security agencies.

The EFCC said the move is part of ongoing investigations into alleged financial misconduct involving public funds.
