The Hydrocarbon Pollution and Remediation Project (HYPREP) has announced plans to extend its environmental awareness campaign to classrooms across Ogoniland.
Speaking to journalists, the Project Coordinator, Professor Neenibarini Zabbey, said HYPREP has established ICT-supported classrooms in some secondary schools in the area as part of efforts to promote environmental education among young people.
Professor Zabbey explained that the initiative aims to expand HYPREP clubs in secondary schools to deepen students’ understanding of environmental issues and encourage their active participation in environmental protection and sustainability efforts.
