Speaking during a television interview, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria cited the All Progressives Congress’s loss in its Lagos State stronghold as an indication of the credibility of the exercise.
Meanwhile, some public affairs analyst have disagreed with Professor Itse Sagay’s claim that the 2023 election is one of the best in the country’s history.
A lawyer and socio-political activist, Adubabari Mankie-Tanen, during an interview with Today FM, described Sagay’s comments as ludicrous.
He also accused professors in Nigeria as being part of Nigeria’s problems.
In his reaction, Reuben Izu Junior, Chairman Rivers State chapter of the Niger Delta Non-Agitators Forum, faulted Professor SAGAY’s comparison of the 2023 general election with elections in the first and Second Republics.
He argued that Nigeria’s electoral processes are supposed to have improved over the years, asserting that the recent polls are the worst ever conducted in the history of Nigeria.
