Our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that the women dressed in black attire were joined by youths from the student group in Wiikemaa-Kor on the protest.
The women leaders complained that they are been raped on a daily bases by persons linked to the neighbouring community, while their farms and crops have been destroyed.
A senior police officer, who addressed the protesters, assured that their complaints would be forwarded to the State Government for prompt intervention.
The protesters also marched to the Secretariat of Khana Local Government council to formally table their complaint of alleged harassment and intimation by the people of Wiiyakara community.
