This was disclosed by INEC’s lawyer N.A Bawa in a suit filed by the People’s Democratic Party against the Accord and its twenty seven House of Assembly Candidates for the 2023 general elections.
This information was contained in his written address which he adopted in the court, stating that the Accord complied with the sections of the Electoral Act that permit consensus.
On their parts, counsel to the Accord Abdulhameed Mohammed and that of twenty seven House of Assembly candidates, ABIODU OWONIKOKO in their adoption of final written addresses argued that the suit is status barred and that the plaintiff failed to identify the constituencies of the defendants.
Also, counsels to the PDP, Emmanuel Ukala and Dike Udenna argued and adopted their final written addresses in both preliminary objection and originating summons and asked the court to uphold their prayers.
Today FM’s Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that the presiding Judge, Justice Ayuwah Phoebe adjourned till the 7th of December, 2022 for judgement.
Similarly; in a separate suit filed by the PDP against the National Assembly candidates of Accord, Presiding Judge; Justice Stephen Daylop-Pam adjourned till the 14th of November, 2022 for definite hearing.

On his part, the governorship candidate of Accord, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs expressed concerns that the state government instead of concentrating on taking care of flood victims in the state, is busy meddling into the affairs of political parties.
