The opposition All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has raised alarm over increasing criminal activities across the state.  The APC said it appears that Rivers State has come under siege by kidnappers, vehicle-snatchers, other gangs of criminals. In a statement issued by its State Publicity Secretary, CHRIS FINEBONE, the APC said it has observed that gradually but steadily as Rivers State is being taken over by organised criminal gangs.
The party questioned the reward of the recent showcasing by the PDP Administration under Governor NYESOM WIKE of commitment to tackle the scourge. The Rivers State APC spokesman said things would not have been as bad if Governor WIKE had been on ground without allowing the ongoing election petition tribunal sitting to distract his attention from governance.
