IHUTE made the clarification against the backdrop of reports that the money was meant for the payment of salaries of council workers.
Speaking in an interview with our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR, the Oyigbo council caretaker chairman said the six hundred and fifty thousand naira that was stolen by the robbers was his personal cash.
You will recall that a police inspector and a civilian were killed in the robbery attack on the convoy of the Oyigbo council chairman conveying the stolen cash.
NNAMDI IHUTE disclosed that negotiations have been ongoing between his community and the families of victims of the robbery attack on burial arrangements.
