Nigeria-born coach Chuks Akuneto has described the Super Eagles as a “work in progress” despite their convincing win over Mozambique. Akuneto noted improvements in both the team’s attacking and defensive play, highlighting the squad’s growing cohesion and tactical maturity.
He believes that with continued refinement, the Super Eagles can perform strongly against Algeria and other top African teams as they aim to compete for the AFCON 2025 title.
