Stakeholders may have been fed up with approval of LGA autonomy bill.

Some respondents believe the bill will not scale through at the State Houses of Assembly because according to them, the state governors will not support the bill.

A Chieftain of the Labour Party in Rivers State, Chief ISAAC WONWU recalled that the bill had in the past failed at the State level following its opposition by the Governors.

In an interview with correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA, WONWU however stressed the need for the local government to be allowed to develop following its importance to the people at the grassroots.

ISAAC WONWU also criticized the revocation of the certificate of occupancy of a private hotel in the state by Governor NYESOM WIKE, adding that the action may scare investors away from the state.
