The Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP in charge of Operations, Olubenga Adepoju, made the disclosure while handing over four 20KVA generator set at Octopus Tactical unit, recovered from 2BABA’S hideout, which he seized from a company for not paying the twenty million naira matching ground fee illegally, imposed on persons or organizations by cultists.
DCP Adepoju who represented the Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu to handover the four sound-proof generator set, disclosed that the tactical team recovered the generator from wanted criminal’s hideout.
DCP Adepoju, however, reminded the criminals that Rivers state is not a place for them to stay, saying they should be ready for a chase, just he warned residents against bringing criminality to the system and encouraged those whose property is being taken by the criminals to report officially to the command for prompt intervention.
Meanwhile, one of the representatives of the company in an interview with newsmen during the handover of the property, commended operatives of the Rivers Police for their efforts in recovering the generators which he said were confiscated months ago.
