SERAP believes that would serve as COVID-19 direct reliefs and benefits to the country’s poorest and most vulnerable people.
SERAP in a the letter signed by its deputy director KOLAWOLE OLUWADARE said Nigeria is at a crossroads and National Assembly leaders and members must now decide whether to continue to look after themselves and do little for the country’s poorest people.
The organization said it is concerned that the prevailing situation has taken its toll on the country’s poorest and most vulnerable people who continue to endure the grimmest of conditions in several states and the FCT.”
SERAP’s also appealed to the National Assembly to immediately advise President MUHAMMADU BUHARI and the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning ZAINAB AHMED to urgently implement the lawmakers commitment to redirect the thirty seven billion naira to the vulnerable people in the country.
