Senate Committee on humanitarian crisis in North-East postpones Second Investigative Hearing.

According to the clerk to the ad-hoc committee, LAWAL BAGAUDU, who disclosed this to newsmen, the decision to postpone the hearing followed the refusal of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, BABACHIR LAWAL and his company, Rholavision Limited to appear before the committee, citing legal reasons and bereavement respectively.

BAGADU further disclosed that no new date had been fixed for the hearing.

LAWAL and Rholavision were summoned to the investigative hearing to clear their names over alleged self-award of grass-cutting contracts to the tune of one hundred and eight million without due process.

The SSG had written to the Chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee, Senator SHEHU SANI, informing him that he had approached the court to challenge his invitation.
