Russian air strikes have killed forty-five people in Latakia province of Syria.

From Syria we bring you this report that Russian air strikes have killed forty-five people in Latakia province. Reuters news agency quoted United Kingdom-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reporting that the dead include a rebel commander in an insurgent-held area of Latakia. The director of the monitoring group, RAMI ABDULRAHMAN, said the air strikes on Monday evening targeted the Jabal al-Akrad area of the coastal province. He equally identified the rebel commander as chief of staff of the First Coastal Division group, which is a foreign-backed insurgent faction fighting under the banner of the Free Syrian Army.
