RSHA to wade into crisis between herdsmen ONELGA community.

The House has also put the Nigeria Police Force on notice about the threat to public peace and security of inhabitants of ONELGA communities.

In a resolution read by the Speaker, IKUNYI OWAJI-IBANI, the leadership of the State Assembly said it would do everything within the law to avert the looming crisis.

The sponsor of the motion and Member representing ONELGA State Constituency Two, NATHANIEL UWAJI said a farmer was killed in a recent clash between herdsmen and inhabitants of Mgbede community.

The state lawmaker also lamented that the activities of herdsmen have caused the destruction of farmlands and crops belonging to his constituents, thereby depriving them of their means of livelihood.

NATHANIEL UWAJI listed other affected communities as Obrikom, Obie, Aba, Mgbede and Okusi; just as he called on the security agencies to check the excesses of the Fulani cattle herdsmen.

He also appealed to the people of ONELGA Constituency Two to remain calm and allow the security agencies to intervene in the matter.
