With the passage; the House of Assembly also repealed the Rivers State Honours Awards Law of 2000.
The Assembly Speaker, IKUNYI-UWAJI IGBANI, pronounced the passage of the bill after what our correspondent described as an exhaustive debate by members of the House.
Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the Speaker underscored the objective of the legislation which is to celebrate Rivers people who distinguish themselves every year.
