Racist Attack :African Players on Italian football league called to embark on strike following Muntari’s suspension.

Former Tottenham striker and BBC broadcaster GARTH CROOKS made call against the backdrop of suspension of Ghana’s SULLEY MUNTARI.

Thirty-two-year-old MUNTARI who plays in the midfield for Pescara was banned after he protested against racist abuse he received from the crowd during Sunday’s Serie A match at Cagliari.

MUNTARI’s protest earned him a yellow card for dissent before he walked off, but Italy’s football chiefs have been receiving knocks for the decision.

Anti-discrimination organisation Kick It Out branded the Italian officials as gutless, while GARTH CROOKS said every self-respecting black player in the Italian league should strike this weekend unless MUNTARI’s one-match suspension is withdrawn.
