The approval of Ibrahim-Imam was contained in a letter by the Minister of Education, Adama Adamu.
According to the letter, Ibrahim-Imam’s appointment was effective from May 14, 2020.
Adamu also said the appointment would run for 4 years consequent upon which it would be reviewed based on performance.
The Nigerian Senate also received President Muhammadu Buhari’s request for confirmation of Lamido Yuguda as the new Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC alongside 3 other nominees.
The three other nominees are to serve as full-time commissioners of the commission and they are; Reginald Karausa, Ibrahim Boyi, full-time Commissioner; and Obi Joseph.
