The former President had mounted the stage at the PDP non-elective national convention in Abuja over the weekend to defend the performance by his administration and the impact of the now opposition party.
Among other things, JONATHAN boasted that the PDP government in the past had a sound economic team that managed to keep inflation at single digit and created jobs.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, GARBA SHEHU, disagreed with JONATHAN’s claims.
SHEHU noted in a statement that the JONATHAN-led PDP government handed over an economy ravaged by years of corruption to the APC.
SHEHU accused JONATHAN of failing to invest and allowing widespread looting, which led to the current economic crisis in Nigeria.
