They are Justice SIDI BAGE from Nasarawa State in the North Central Geopolitical Zone and Justice PAUL JAURO from Taraba State in the North East of Nigeria.
Our correspondent, JAMES IGAH reports that the presidential correspondence was read on the floor of the Senate chamber by the Senate President, BUKOLA SARAKI.
According to the letter, President BUHARI said he was making the appointment under Section 231 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.
He also urged the Senate to ensure expeditious consideration and confirmation of the Supreme Court nominees.
