Addressing newsmen at the BMH premises, EZEKIEL said he has been bedridden since 1992 when he fell from a palm tree and had a spinner cord injury.
He said he was brought to the hospital through the intervention of Governor NYESOM WIKE but alleged that he was abandoned by the hospital a month after his admission.
The patient noted that the Governor through the Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation had paid the required bill for his treatment but wondered why he had been without proper medical attention.
Meanwhile, a senior nurse at Department of the Surgery BMH, who pleaded anonymity, told our correspondent that the condition of the patient was pitiable, adding that there has not been a drugs prescription from the doctors for a long.
Attempts made by our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR to reach the management of the hospital on the issue have not been successful.
